Our planet has never been as perilous as it is today. Consider the terms Paul used to describe the way people would be in our time: lovers of self, self-centred, lacking natural affection and callous; there simply are no better words to describe the gut-wrenching state of mankind today, and even some Christian relationships have degenerated to the point where they are void of natural affection. Put simply, the cause for the loss of natural affection is disobedience to God's spiritual and physical laws of love.

The same God who created mankind created law to ensure that we value, respect, enhance and nurture each other. What happens when God's law is rejected and ridiculed? Well look around. The state of mankind today – violence, broken families, sexual perversion and calamity – all the product of broken laws.

Christian relationships thrive when we are more concerned about pleasing God and respecting and loving fellow man than about pleasing ourselves and will ensure that we and our children develop into loving, warm, and caring individuals.

There are happy families out there – what makes them that way? One of the great needs in families today is to realize that the Bible has the answers in every sphere of life—including personal relationships.
