PARENTING RESOURCES for a well-ordered family

Parenting young children and a teenager is hard enough, but add in trying to be a Christian parent, and the challenges become even greater, because parents today are dealing with issues that our parents never even thought about, but today we have to take a different approach to raising Christian children, making parenting resources absolutely imperative to help with knowing the right way to raising our Christian children.

Much of the heritage of righteous child rearing and preparation for a holy life has been lost, but we can recover it; with parenting resources offered by the church in the form of bible studies and prayer groups, parents who take seriously the Biblical command to "bring up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord", will make sure that Sunday school and youth groups become important 'hang-out' places for children.

Positive parenting is about providing parenting resources and information to help make parenting more rewarding, effective and fun! Yet parents seem confused about these issues. Even many Christian parents are paralyzed with fear about how much to discipline their children. But what Scripture says is straightforward - "folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him" (Prov. 22:15). You have a solemn responsibility before God to provide an environment of nurture and instruction where your child will constantly be exposed to God's truth.

God graciously disciplines and restores His children when we sin; all parents who would imitate their God, must learn how to do the same with our sons and daughters. Too often, even Christian parents are failing to imitate our heavenly Father, thus failing to truly discipline and love our children.
