Promote
a Day to Remember event in your church or community!
Most
people attend a Day to Remember conference simply
because someone cared enough to invite them.
And who are those “someone's”? They're
people just like you. Consider promoting a Day
to Remember conference in your church or community
and thereby help us raise the standard of family
life in South Africa.
The objective in promoting Day
to Remember in your church and community if
fourfold:
- To educate your fellow church
members, co-workers and neighbors about Weekend
to Remember and how they can participate
- To coach and facilitate the
registration process
- To encourage FamilyLife alumni
in your church and community to return and
to bring a friend
- To assist those who need
scholarships by contacting FamilyLife at (012)

To promote a Day
to Remember conference in your church and community:
- First, contact your pastor
and gain permission from him. Remember, it
is your pastor's job to carefully screen any
information presented to his congregation,
so be sure to explain to him the purpose of
the Day to Remember conference and the ways
it will influence the lives and marriages
of the couples in your church.
- Order a Day to Remember Conference
Promotional Pack, which includes tools to
use for promoting the event . We recommend
you follow the schedule in the event promotion
timeline to clearly communicate to every couple
in your church and community about the Day
to Remember conference.
- Register for the Day to Remember
conference.
- Once you secure your pastor's
permission, the next step is to inform the
congregation of the event. The best means
of getting the word out is to have a consistent
location, such as a staffed table in a church
foyer, where questions can be answered and
registration information can be distributed.
Helpful tips for an effective information
table and other promotional ideas are provided
in the Weekend to Remember Conference Promotion
Pack. Most of all, your encouragement is what
will motivate people to register and attend.
If possible register and attend and conference
yourself first.
