FAMILY COUNSELING – Bible based help and healing

Christian people are ashamed to admit that they have problems; they feel guilty because they often believe that they are immune to problems that are associated with the world - they may even have been taught that these problems are some form of punishment from God, and are afraid of being rejected by members of their church. Family counseling means you don't have to struggle alone; there are people with the same beliefs as you who understand that human beings can stumble, but that they get up again and live a life of victory.

Fulfilling relationships don't just happen automatically; for relationships to grow we must give them time and attention, but often the relationship gets thrust aside as the daily task of life takes over, and we barely have time for ourselves, let alone for anyone else.

Family counseling includes helping families with things like divorce, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, couples counseling, sexual abuse and parent counseling. A strong faith helps families deal with the challenges and complexities of life, and the Bible too, is full of encouragement to seek wise counsel.

An important part of family counseling involves finding the right resources to effectively train Bible study group leaders or other church leaders to counsel others. Family Life is dedicated to providing tools to enhance family relationships by offering support and education with a Biblical perspective to those families who are battling with issues of divorce, separation, an ill parent, or a teenager threatening to leave home.

There are Christian families being torn apart who don't know where to turn to get the help they need to have better relationships within the family. Family Life partners with families and churches to build families with loving and healthy relationships. We provide training to local congregations as they focus on building strategic family counseling ministries that target the needs of the church family.
